AMSEP (Asian Medical Students' Exchange Program)
AMSEP is the abbreviation of Asian Medical Students' Exchange Program. The purpose of this program is to create more opportunities aside from AMSC and EAMSC for Asian medical students to interact and mingle with each other. The program features two major parts:
1. Academic Activities (i.e. campus tour and visit, mini-hospital attachment, and experiencing lectures conducted by lecturers of the hosting country, etc.)
2. Cultural Experiencing (i.e. sightseeing and enjoy local gourmet...etc.)
Student participants will get to understand different cultures, medical system and medical education of other countries, thus building and strengthening new friendship between the hosting university and incoming foreign students.
The program is usually tentatively planned to be 5- 10 days long. The two countries/universities will sign a contract indicating the number of participants and when the event will be held. Fees are normally to be paid by the hosting country and the content of the exchanging program will also be planned and organized by organizing country.
Due to the semester schedule in IMU, most of the medical students in IMU prefer to ATTEND between the dates of AUGUST to OCTOBER and HOST between the dates of MARCH TO MAY.*
